Ally is a professional vocalist, performer, and vocal teacher who works with students of all ages across a range of musical styles, including classical, musical theatre, pop, and jazz. Drawing on her own diverse training and performing experience across these genres, she brings creativity, musicality, and real-world insight into her lessons, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for singers to develop confidence and enjoyment in their singing.

Ally has a Master’s degree in Voice & Opera from the Royal Academy of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She draws upon this training, along with advanced knowledge of vocal technique and physiology, to support students in a variety of ways — whether they are learning for enjoyment, preparing for auditions, or working towards ABRSM and Trinity Rock & Pop vocal exams. With her conservatoire training and experience, she is particularly well placed to support students interested in auditioning for specialist music programmes and conservatoires. Her teaching approach is thoughtful and responsive, with a focus on helping singers develop healthy vocal technique, musical confidence, and a genuine connection to the music they are singing, always tailoring lessons to the individual.

As a performer, Ally regularly appears as a classical soprano in recitals and performances at venues including the Southbank Centre, Handel & Hendrix House, and the Royal Academy of Music. Alongside her classical work, she is also an independent singer-songwriter, regularly performing original pop songs at showcases such as Sofar Sounds, Breaking Sound, and SXSW London.

In addition to her private teaching, Ally also leads masterclasses and lectures for voice students from universities and conservatoires across the UK, US, and China, sharing her knowledge of vocal technique, vocal health, operatic repertoire, and performance practice with both students and wider audiences.

At the heart of Ally’s teaching is a belief that singing should be a positive and rewarding experience. Her teaching style is rooted in helping singers feel supported as they explore their voice and develop a sense of ease, connection, and confidence.
