Emiliano

Emiliano is a passionate and versatile musician whose teaching puts the student at the centre of every lesson. He works with students of all ages and abilities, offering tailored lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, and music theory, alongside composition — including work for GCSE and A-levels. Whether students are picking up an instrument for the first time, preparing for a grade exam, or exploring their own musical ideas, Emiliano brings the same creativity, energy, and encouragement to both instrumental and compositional learning.

Trained to postgraduate level with a Master’s in Composition, and holding undergraduate degrees in both composition and performance, Emiliano brings over 20 years of full-time teaching experience to his work. He is an RGT-certified teacher and has successfully prepared students for exams with ABRSM, Trinity, Rock School, and RGT. His musical expertise spans jazz, flamenco, classical, funk, Latin, and beyond, and he is equally at home helping students develop technical fluency on guitar, bass, and ukulele, as he is guiding them through composition and musical theory.

In his lessons, Emiliano works with both individuals and groups, adapting his approach to each student’s abilities, interests, and goals. He has extensive experience teaching children, adults, and students with additional learning needs. On guitar, bass, and ukulele, he helps students develop technical fluency, musical expression, and confidence in performance. In composition and theory, he guides students through creative exploration, developing their understanding of harmony, rhythm, and musical structure, whether for coursework, GCSE and A-level composition, grades, or personal projects. His teaching is rooted in connection, creativity, and musical expression, helping students build confidence, technique, and a deep love of music while keeping lessons engaging and fun.

Alongside teaching, Emiliano maintains an active performing career, appearing at venues and festivals including Glastonbury, The Jazz Café, and the Vortex Jazz Club. He writes original music for live performance, theatre, and collaborative projects, and often brings his performance experience into lessons to inspire students and illustrate musical ideas in context.

Emiliano is fluent in English and Greek, speaks conversational Spanish, and is fully DBS checked. His approach creates a supportive and stimulating environment where students can flourish, discovering not only their musical skills but also the enjoyment, confidence, and creativity that come with making music.
