Toby

Toby is a teacher at Inspired Playing who believes that music is a language that gives us all a voice. He is a multi-instrumentalist and a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music who aspires to help his students find that 'musical spark' that creates fun, confidence, and a sense of joy!

His passion for music has led him to perform professionally in various jazz groups (trios, sextets, big bands), whilst also inspiring him to write his own music and arrange jazz standards and popular songs.

Toby has experience teaching the ABRSM/Trinity Rock and Pop syllabuses and has taught students of all ages, from 5 and up, both privately and in small groups, as well as within a classroom setting. He has coached jazz ensembles in harmony, rhythm, and general musicianship and helped classroom students to sing, write, and perform their own music. 

Whether you're a complete beginner, an adult looking to play for fun, or an advanced student looking to hone your skills, Toby will guide you with lessons that are designed specifically with you in mind.
