Instruments:
Saxophone, Piano

Zac is a warm and thoughtful saxophone and piano teacher, whose style of teaching puts the person before the music. He believes lessons should be a space where students feel comfortable to explore, grow, and find joy in making music.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music with first-class honours in jazz saxophone, Zac brings a depth of experience to his teaching. Alongside his saxophone training, he has many years of private teaching experience with both children and adults on piano and saxophone.
In his piano lessons, Zac encourages students to develop solid foundations while discovering music they connect with—whether that’s classical, jazz, or simply pieces they enjoy. He has guided multiple students through exams over the years with a 100% pass rate, and enjoys balancing each lesson with sight reading, aural games, and repertoire.
In his saxophone lessons, Zac often plays alongside his students, creating a musical dialogue that supports improvisation, listening skills, and a deeper understanding of musical ideas.
Whether on saxophone or piano, Zac adapts each lesson to the student’s individual pace and interests, helping them build confidence while keeping music-making creative and rewarding. His thoughtful approach creates a supportive space where students can discover not only their musical voice but also the enjoyment and confidence that come with it.
