Joe is a versatile saxophonist and dedicated educator who brings passion and expertise to his teaching. A graduate of the Royal College of Music with a first-class degree in both jazz and classical saxophone, he has trained with some of the UK's top saxophonists, including Leo Richardson, Graeme Blevins, and Mick Foster. His playing is influenced by jazz greats such as Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Joe Henderson, and Joshua Redman, and he is an active performer in London's jazz scene, having played at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott's, St.
Martin in the Fields, and Vortex Jazz Club.
As a tutor, Joe creates a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students build strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and self-expression. With his background in both classical and jazz techniques, he offers students a well-rounded saxophone education tailored to their individual interests-whether they're learning to improvise, preparing for exams, or simply playing for enjoyment. Alongside his private teaching, Joe also works with schools and music services, supporting students of all ages and abilities.
While saxophone is his primary focus, Joe is also proficient in clarinet and flute, which enriches his musicianship and versatility as a performer. He holds an enhanced DBS check and a Safeguarding in Music Education Certificate, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all his students.
