Lily

Lily is a versatile clarinettist whose early training through the Suzuki method sparked a lifelong love of music. She is currently completing her degree at the Royal College of Music, where she studies with support from the Douglas and Hilda Simmonds Scholarship. Her musical path has taken her through classical, klezmer, jazz, folk and early music, shaping her into a thoughtful and expressive performer with a broad musical outlook.

Teaching with energy and care
Lily brings a warm and encouraging approach to teaching, with experience spanning one-to-one lessons, composition support, and early years workshops. She teaches both clarinet and recorder, and enjoys helping students of all ages develop their musicality and confidence. Her experience includes supporting the Commonwealth Resounds 'Go Compose!' programme in Antigua, leading early years sessions at Willcocks Nursery in South Kensington, and working in primary schools through the Royal College of Music's Sparks outreach programme.

A vibrant performer and collaborator
Lily has performed in a wide range of settings, from Vienna's Palais Verstel with an Irish folk band to playing with the Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra at Marlborough House. She's organised and promoted her own concerts, performed with her clarinet quartet at the RCM Museum and in Kensington, and played as part of private and public events across London. Her collaborative spirit and curiosity bring freshness to every project she joins.
