Tristan is a passionate and versatile music educator, specialising in jazz while also offering lessons in contemporary piano styles and classical music. With a deep love for both jazz and contemporary music, he tailors his teaching to each student, helping them develop strong musical and technical skills-whether exploring the rich harmonies of jazz or the timeless traditions of classical music. He creates a supportive and inspiring learning environment for students at every level.
A Teacher Who Inspires...
As an experienced music educator, Tristan has worked with students from age 4 through to adults, helping them build confidence and creativity in their playing. He holds a Bachelor's in Education and has designed engaging programs, directed ensembles, accompanied students for exams and performances, and led school musicals. He also integrates music technology into his lessons, using Sibelius, GarageBand, and recording software to enhance composition and learning.
A Performer and Composer...
As a professional musician, Tristan has performed, composed, and recorded with some of Australia's leading jazz artists. He has played at major festivals, led ensembles showcasing his original compositions, and recorded four albums, with a fifth in progress.
His extensive experience as a performer enriches his teaching, offering students valuable insights into musicianship, improvisation, and creative expression.
